One of the questions I am frequently asked is "Just how many C-Suite resignations are there?" That is a very fair question and one which I really should know given that at Iversen Martin we are in the business of fractional and interim C-Suite solutions. So I went to my new favorite search engine - DuckDuckGo.com - typed in the phrase 'CEO Resignations' and found Resignation.info.

Putting aside the politics of the website and focusing on the data I was shocked to learn that worldwide there have been over 12,000 resignations in the last two-plus years with almost 3,500 of those coming at the CEO level. That is an incredible number of shoes to fill in a very short period of time. Some of this I'm sure can be attributed to the Baby Boomer generation nearing the end of their workplace lives and there being 10 million fewer replacements coming from the Gen X'ers following in their footsteps.

Studies have shown that from the time a C-level person announces (or has the decision made for them!) that they are leaving that it can take up to 18 months to find a permanent replacement. That is a leadership gap of growth-crushing proportions. The world's leading executive search firms are running at full steam trying to keep up with this demand. In the meantime, true leadership holes are popping up all over the place.

We are in a time of unprecedented uncertainty with the novel coronavirus holding the global business world at bay. And who knows for how long? When it's over (and it will end) will all of these companies be ready for the inevitable surge in growth and demand? If you are a company of less than $100 million in annual sales, then the chances are you don't have a full suite of C-level executives to call on to lead you and your organization into the brave new world.

This is where we can come in to assist at Iversen Martin. We are uniquely prepared to provide the fractional and interim C-Suite support needed to get you through this crisis and hit the ground running when the world recovers.
