While it's widely known that Iversen Martin is a seasoned business consulting firm, what may surprise many is our deep-rooted involvement in drowning prevention advocacy. Yes, you read that right!
Among the array of services offered by I | M, one of our standout commitments is to drowning prevention advocacy at both the State and Federal levels in the US and across Commonwealth nations. With 25 years of hands-on experience and a relentless dedication to saving lives from preventable tragedies, we are unwavering in our pursuit of safety.
Through my extensive experience, I've encountered a diverse range of challenges. As a Master Trainer in both pool and ocean environments, I've trained lifeguards who, in turn, train others. I've actively contributed to the development of legislation for flotation device regulations and conducted safety audits in various commercial and residential settings. Additionally, I've served as an expert witness in public and private pool safety inquiries and collaborated with public health departments to craft comprehensive drowning prevention legislation. This commitment is echoed throughout our team, each member sharing the same fervor for drowning prevention, evident in our impactful results and relentless drive for progress.
The Swim Global Project, a division of Iversen Martin, is a brainchild of mine that has blossomed into a remarkable initiative. Through missions we have conducted worldwide, we've not only taught swimming but also instilled water safety practices and trained capable swimmers to become certified lifeguards — a crucial need in many regions lacking certified lifeguards.
At I | M, we're leveraging our resources to collaborate with partners and friends, amplifying the effectiveness of drowning prevention initiatives. Gone are the days of underfunded efforts leading to subpar outcomes. Every project now benefits from comprehensive business strategies, robust fundraising, efficient management, targeted marketing, impactful branding, effective communications, and dedicated staff.
I am eagerly anticipating the transformative impact of our collective efforts in advancing drowning prevention. While eliminating preventable drownings is an ongoing challenge requiring continuous education across generations, we are committed to making significant strides in improving water safety worldwide.
